The QDS113CS displacement sensor is based on newLight® technology and is a ruggedized fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor for measuring linear displacements on different types of structures. The sensor uses two FBG push-pull configurations for effective temperature compensation.
It can be used in a variety of monitoring applications such as support walls, bridge piles, or buildings.
Effectively compensate for temperature crossover effects using two FBGs (<2 μm/ºC)
Suitable for long-term measurements at unstable temperatures
Used in tandem with other FBG-based sensors and compatible with most fiber interrogators
Cost-effective shared devices, simpler sensor networks
Ruggedized packaging and bolt mounting for long-term measurements or reuse in different projects
Easy to install and uninstall without damaging the sensor
